The Club
As of 2010 – the club has well over 200 members, with players in the under 7s, teenagers, seniors and over-60s playing in the veterans. The club made a commitment to develop junior football within the village of Onchan and to date, this has proven to be a tremendous success.
Chartered Standard
The commitment to develop the club can be demonstrated by its coaches; the club has several FA qualified coaches and the club itself has achieved FA Chartered Standard status.
Chartered Status is the FA’s kitemark for quality and shows that the club is well run, has a clear code of rules that make reference to membership, equality and discipline among other things and ensures that the club has codes of conduct for coaches, managers, players, parents and spectators.
Parents can be assured that all coaches working within junior teams are qualified, have completed CRB checks and attended emergency aid and safeguarding children workshops.
Social
The club has an active social side, several events and fundraisers are held throughout the year for both junior and senior members. Past years have seen junior teams take part in UK tournaments, there have been senior quiz nights, coach trips, nights out and the annual presentation. Members are encouraged to get involved to develop and organise the social side of the club, for both juniors and seniors.
Committee
The club has an active committee who meet fortnightly to handle the day-to-day running of the club, handling things like fixtures, FA relations, development, junior football, finance, social events and other club matters. Members of the committee can be found on the Club Members page.
